Congratulations to JOHN HINDS Silk Cut Aquisition Award recipient

Congratulations to John Hinds on his selection as one of the Silk Cut Awards’ Open Section Acquisition Prizes recipients. His work print Dance of the Drown'd Sailors, along with other works acquired by the Silk Cut Award for Lino Cut Prints, will be donated to the National Gallery of Australia (NGA), Canberra. Other artists acquired under this Section are Ian Clarke, Rew Hanks, Claire Humphries, Phoebe Middleton-Newell & Luke You. The judges were Marion Crawford, teacher and artist, Alisa Bunbury, Curator Prints & Drawings NGV,and Des Cowley, Rare Books Manager, State Library Victoria. The Grand Prize of a trip to Holland was won by WA artist Vanessa Curley. Student and tertiary prizes were also awarded.
