Classical guitarist Tiago Brissos performs works from his Debut Album " In Between Places"

After a successful tour through regional Victoria produced by EnterCloser, Tiago Brissos is back in Melbourne for the first performance of the year at Chrysalis Gallery  Sunday 13th March 2011, 4.30 - 6.00 pm.

The program of contemporary classical guitar works includes compositions by Morel and Sinesi ( Argentina), Peixoto (Portugal), Bogdanovic ( Serbia), and Brouwer (Cuba).

"In each of the works you will find the composers have poured into their works not only their very own language but also the soul of their musical roots, creating works that explore a modern approach to composition while retaining a link with the past and their audiences. Each work is filled with delight, significance, intimacy and beauty."

Tiago came to Australia from a tiny little village called Sines, facing the Atlantic Ocean on the south coast of Portugal. He studied classical guitar at the University of Évora, Portugal, and later at the Victorian College of the Arts and the Melba Conservatory, in Melbourne, Australia. Over the years Tiago has collaborated with numerous musicians and ensembles, theater productions, exhibitions, and solo performances. This is Tiago´s first album, and a new step on this young musicians career, one that explores new levels of maturity and musicality, looking ahead into the future without forgetting the past.
